If you are looking for tasty, simple, nutritious options that don’t take loads of time to create…
You have found some kid and adult approved meals, snacks, treats and beverages (as our site grows)!
We are the first to admit, the kitchen is not our favourite place. Don’t get us wrong, we appreciate eating tremendously! We just have yet to embrace the preparation time involved to create diverse meals. We have been making more of an effort to embrace cooking and are determined to make tasty, simple and nutritious options for our family and friends.
Times that are a significant turning point in life, we often refer to as the TSN turning point (somewhere along the line I picked up this phrase due to sports), hence ‘TSN’ ~ Tasty, Simple and Nutritious for the recipes we will be sharing. We will be sure to give credit to the source in which we discovered the recipe and every so often our genius minds may share something we think we created, but either way we hope you enjoy our TSN recipe choices.
To kick off the TSN Recipe section, we’re sharing a favorite family treat – Grilled BANANA BAM BAM!
Our home try’s our best to eat 100% paleo, 80% of the time, so awhile back Christie attempted to create a healthier treat. It was a huge hit and took less than 10 minutes start to finish – gotta love it!
Inspired by my father! A very fond memory of mine, as a little girl, was when my dad would make Banana Flambe.
I decided to put a good tablespoon of coconut oil in the base of the frying pan, placed sliced banana in the pan, sprinkled cinnamon and shredded coconut on top, fried, flipped, sprinkled more cinnamon and shredded coconut. After a few minutes, it was done!
Place the Banana Bam Bam on top of some ‘Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss’ and VOILA!
Here’s to thinking ahead and making better choices.
- Banana (ripe is good, but not as ripe works too)
- Coconut Oil
- Shredded Coconut
- Ice Cream (there are a number of non-dairy options to choose from if you wish)
- Dash of Black Pepper
